My Review of Paytm Payments Bank (KYC accoounts)

My verdict in a line: "Nothing Than impressive"

Paytm Payments bank goes by the Tagline "No fear. No greed. No entitlement. India’s most sincere bank is here!"

But are they ? Well, I would say that may be partly true..

The only reason I used Digital wallets like Paytm, Mobikwik etc, was for the offers they run once in a while. Otherwsie I felt they are inefficient for the reason that we need to "Add funds" to wallet in advance, making them lay idle (as opposed to Debit cards where the cash 'stays' in the account earning a rate of interest).

On hearing Paytm Payments bank offers an interest rate of 4 percent I impulsively decided to open an account with Paytm Payments bank 'assuming' (or rather making a fool out of me ?) I am going to utilize the money that is lying idle in my account. But to my dismay I found out the money in Paytm "Wallet" is different from the the money in the Paytm Payments bank/Savings account!
